Our academies are education and training packages linked to local jobs.
We’re currently offering academies for care and support, cleaning, hospitality, and security. All four are delivered from the Employment and Skills Hub in the Cleveland Centre.
Our academies last for one to two weeks, and often include:
- an introduction to the area of work (care and support, cleaning, hospitality, or security)
- effective communication skills
- manual handling
- Control of Substances Hazardous to Health (COSHH)
- basic life support (first aid)
- Level 1 Food Hygiene
- a short work placement or work trial
- guaranteed interview, interview support, and reference
- help with DBS (criminal record) checks
- safeguarding
- digital skills (care and support)
- basic DIY (care and support)
